HOLLYWOOD, CA -- After a crushing defeat at the hands of tag team luminaries the Sex Symbols, Troy Matthews of the Hammerheads was carried backstage by partner Rob Sharpe with a noticeable limp in his arm. Upon examination at a nearby hospital, he was diagnosed as having a dislocated shoulder, an injury which take anywhere from three weeks to three months to heal.
"We were able to pop his arm back into place," said Dr. Michael Watson of Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital, "now we just have to get him in a sling and hope he heals. We've already signed him up for physical therapy to strengthen his arm after it's out, but one thing at a time."
Matthews is known for his ability to heal from injuries quickly, a quality he attributes to his healthy lifestyle and vegetarian diet.
When asked about the possibility of taking on some singles matches while his partner heals, Rob Sharpe commented, "maybe. Nothing's set in stone, but I'm still a little green and could use some experience to shake off some ring rust, but that's the last thing on my mind right now, so don't take offense."
