Johnny Booya (10) vs Heidi Christenson (5) vs Mike Sloan (0)

This clusterfuck came together after all the chaos that started after the finish of the Heidi/Dentari singles match last week.  So let’s recap.  Dentari wanted to end Heidi’s career but Box wanted to protect her so he could destroy her in the playoffs.  Sloan was paid to make sure that Box failed in everything he tried to do.  YAZ was in turn paid to make sure Sloan failed at making Box fail.  And Booya just ran in to save Heidi and got caught up in it.  So we’ve got a trios tag split along face/heel lines, and just for shits and giggles the whole ordeal will be an elimination affair, with two points going to the person who scores each elimination, and five points going to whomever makes the final pinfall!

(10) vs (5)

Last week, Jack Cassidy proposed that the Devil Rippers get their singles match against each other out of the way early so they wouldn’t have to worry about having the match later when they were in position to mess with each other’s playoffs contention.  And in a rare fit of benevolence Elijah Goldman booked it without drama.  Of course, Troy Matthews does have a win streak bonus that will go into effect if he wins...

After missing a couple months Johnny Hotrod returns to Defiance in a 3 way dance.  Chris Cannon got the duke over Yoshikazu YAZ last week, although YAZ made him regret it post match.  And Dan Ryan defeated Jack Cassidy in the main event last week in a match that was surely harder fought than he would have preferred.  So, three way dance time.

(5) vs (5)

Nakita Dubov got a chance to show what she could actually do in the ring last card.  She came up short against Matthews, but as Matthews seems to be Evolution League’s breakaway star, maybe that’s not so bad.  Jack Bryant took a win over Dragon Jones last card and now he moves up to take on Dubov.

(-5) vs (0)

Dragon Jones may have come up a tad short against Jack Bryant last week, but he showed some actual wrestling talent, reversing a sharpshooter and kicking out of several pinfalls.  His opponent is the struggling Phoenix.  Can Lord Dargno get some points on the board or will The Phoenix finally have an easy target to take his frustrations out on?
